If it is oiled The early 2006 models had a detuned LBZ that carried the LLY designation.

Maybe durallymax will chime in, in the meantime check out. Sounds like your problems are more severe though. I had an 06, but it was an lbz, which I though all builds after sept 2005 were lbz engines. I dont know if this is of any help my truck had kinda the same thing huge power loss at cruising speed,no engine light one day i was feeling pissy and just held it to the floor after 45 seconds or so engine light came on and i finally had a code it was turbo overboost i had a faulty sensor on the intake manifold It seems to be directly related to the drop on the MAF sensor like the EGR valve is causing problems but I have the plate blocking it so I'm not sure if thats possible? Any help or suggestions would be great! TIA No symptoms of the relief valve sticking open on the fuel rail either. I've checked over wiring and don't see any visual problems. I also have the EGR blocked with the finger stick. Truck has AFE intake, PPE standard tuner and straight pipe. I've changed fuel filters, cleaned air filters and changed MAF sensor and no luck. Also what I thought was strange was the engine load percentage goes way up to like 100% when this happens. No check engine light, no smoke really nothing out of ordinary visually. I'll be driving along and my MAF sensor reading will start dropping lower than normal, at highway speed it will be ready 120 then drop down to 40 or 50 and sometimes less which defuels the truck resulting in little to no power. I have a 2006 duramax with the LLY, i've been having intermittent power loss which has been much worse lately. ( logon | register )ĭuramax experts.HELP! Jump to page : 1 Now viewing page 1
